Angora Goats
We love our goats at Misty Woods. Yes, we have dairy goats and fainting goats, but the truth is, we find all goats (and actually, all animals) wonderful. One of our newest interests is fiber animals, and we have added a few Angora goats for Mohair. With the addition of a nice Angora buck, Sampson, and 5 young does, we are enjoying experimenting with spinning and weaving.

I am beginning to master the spinning wheel, and have discovered a new passion! I love to raise the Angora goats, shear them in the Spring and Fall, and spin the fiber into yarn, and then to make garments, particularly the items that I am making on the triangle loom. My latest item is a shawl made with handspun yarn, and colored with plant dyes. It is going to be the most wonderful shades of blue! Watch for a picture after I put on the finishing touches.
