While Misty Woods is a working goat farm, raising Boer goats for meat goats and breeding stock, we have a few milk goats, "my girls," that contribute to the soap and lotion business. The soap and lotion segment of Misty Woods began as a lark. I made gifts for the family and products for myself to use after chemotherapy and radiation. My daughters shared their gifts with friends at college and I began to share products with others looking for natural ingredients. The dairy goats, until this time kept for extra milk for the Boer goat triplets and quadruplets, were pressed into full-time service. Misty Woods Health and Home Products were born.

As the business continues to grow, we try hard to listen to the advice of our customers. More and more of the people we have met have asked for other natural products. Watch for our new natural cleaning and other household products. They clean and smell like the store-bought stuff (or maybe better), but are made of basic, natural ingredients. All my products are made in my home in small batches. Scents can be custom ordered. Be sure to allow for curing time, although scents on-hand usually include, but not limited to: Oats & Honey, Lavender, Vanilla Lace, Cucumber Melon, Citrus Splash, Eucalyptus Spearmint, Blackberry Sage, and Gardeners.
